About Me


Ever since I was a little girl I always enjoyed helping my mother & grandmother garden. Working with flowers was always a hobby, something I never took seriously as a career choice. In 2012 I met a women who came into my father’s sign shop, she showed me the ropes and everything she knew about the industry. I then took classes at Fox Valley Technology to help jump start my business established in 2014.

So I'm really late writing this review, but Olivia did a beautiful job for our September 2019 wedding at Gather on... Broadway! From the initial consult, to the flower drop-off on the day of, working with her was a breeze. She was able to 100% capture the floral look I wanted, all while staying within my budget. Olivia is INCREDIBLE! She did the flowers for our July wedding. I went in to discuss what we wanted, but then about 2... months before the wedding we made a good amount of changes to the bouquets. Olivia was so quick to respond with pictures and suggestions to make the bouquets exactly what I was looking for. I had a cascading bouquet with coral spray roses and they matched the girls dresses PERFECT! Everyone loved the flowers and commented on how gorgeous the bouquets were. My husband and I are so happy with how beautiful our flowers turned out for our wedding - Olivia was very easy to work... with and the flowers were amazing. Olivia is hands down wonderful to work with. I reached out to her a couple months before my wedding, knowing it was... last minute. We needed some small ceremony decorations and I didn't know exactly what I wanted. When we met I described a couple of things I was looking for but mainly let her pick and put everything together. Olivia Van Handel-Schoen is someone you WANT to work with for your BIG day! She was very easy to work with, very... polite, & helped get us get exactly what we wanted for our wedding! She was great to work with and talked me through the minor freak-out I had about the sunflowers not looking good with my dress after I picked out a blush-colored dress.
